Kidderminster 0 Bournville 7   27th March 2010

the last game in the season for kidderminster and i think they will be looking forward to the break. Bournville bonbarded kidders defence and scored 4 goals in 5 minutes of open play. Player of the match defender Amanda Williams had the best game when she saved two balls off the line and helped defend a very busy dee from a strong Bournville squad. Kidderminster had chances in the game too come back but could not put the finishing touches on the ball too score. Bournville scored 3 more goals from short corners in the second half.

Kidderminster 1 Bromsgrove 4   20th March
Bromsgrove are at the top of the league and in good form so this was never going to be easy for the home team. Bromsgrove gave kidder a taste of what was to come as they attacked the goal from the off and were stopped from going into the lead by (player of the match )keeper Julie Rowe who made an excellent first minute save. the home team responded well and kay mcdonald (who shared player of the match) took the ball into Bromsgove defence and forced a short corner. Racheal Wills stepped up and put a lovely ball in the back of the net to put Kidderminster in the lead. the passing by Bromsgrove was spot on and Kidderminster seemed to be chasing there own tail as the pressure was put on Kidderminster's defence to defend their fragile lead. the away team managed to score on the edge of half time leaving it all to play for in the second half. Bromsgrove came out fighting and contained Kidder in their own half and despite excellent saves by the keeper and defenders the inevitable happened and bromsgrove took the lead. Kidderminster had chances to regain the game as Kari Smith hit the post and Kay Mcdonald sent one wide but Kidderminster were soon looking deflated as bromsgrove scored their 3rd goal and gave no let up and pushed to score one more before full time .Kidderminster are 8th in the league last game of the season is at home to Bournville next Saturday.

6th march      Sills 1 Kidderminster 2

Kidderminster traveled to solihull with 10 players and put in a great team performance to snatch the 3 points. Solihull were the first to take the lead in the game in the second half but Kari smith quckly responded with support from Amy grove in midfield to bring the score back level. Kari managed to get one more past Sills with 5 min to go, giving kidder a much needed 3 points . Defender Amanda Williams was player of the match for some great defending to keep Kidder in front. away next week to Old haelsonians picture below goal scorer kari smith and Hannah Boyce

 27th feb              Kidderminster 1 Stourport 6
Stourport proved to be kidders nemesis as they quickly went into a 2 goal lead early on in the game. Kidderminster had there chances in the game to bring the score back but were pushed back by a strong Stourport defence. At times it seemed stourport had more players on the pitch, as Kidders defence were struggling to decide who to mark as their were so many stourport players in the dee. The only goal for Kidder came from Racheal Wills who took the ball from half way and weaved throught Stourport players to score for the home team. This was sadly no consolation as the home team continued to stop Stourport from penertrating their defence and tot up the score. Midfield player kay mcdonald was awarded player of the match for her perseverance in midfield. Away next week to Sills

13th feb  Kidderminster    4 Tenbury 0
A great performance by Kidderminster to see of a young tenbury side . two cracking goals by Lucy Harler ( player of the match ) to give kidderminster a cushion to go into half time. the second half was just as exciting when racheal wills made a great run through mid field and then laid the ball of to Kay macdonald who passed it back to racheal in the dee to score kidders 3rd goal . racheals wills continued to dominate midfield and put tenbury under pressure and set up lucy hancocks for kidderminsters 4th goal. Tenbury had chances but due to some good defensive work by kidders defence were unable to score. away next week to bournville

Kidderminster 3 Droitwich 3   6th Feb
the teams were very evenly matched and with some great end to end attacks , but it was Droitwich who took the early lead in the first half. Kay mcdonald managed to score a goal from open play to draw the teams level before the end of the first play . the second half saw Droitwich come out the much stronger team and put 2 goals past kidders defence in quick concession. this seemed to spur kidder into action as they battled away at droitwich and got a well earned goal again thanks to player of the match Kay mcdonald. Kidder continued to piled on the pressure and were awarded with a short corner with 30 seconds of the game to play, everyone went up and it was Rachael wills who blasted it past the Droitwich keeper to give kidder a point they desperatly need. at home next week to tenbury

30th Jan

Pershore 2 Kidderminster 2
This was Kidderminster first league game in 6 weeks due to the Christmas break and the bad weather postponing games. Kidderminster are still struggling to field a full team and could only muster 10 players away to Pershore. with this in mind it looked like a big ask for them to get a result away from home, and the first half proved just that as Pershore had strike after strike on goal only to be stopped by player of the match Keeper Julie Rowe. The game hotted up when against the run of play midfield player kay Mcdonald laid of a perfect ball into the Pershore dee to allow kari Smith to score a great goal to put Kidderminster into the lead. Pershore used their one player advantage to flood Kidderminsters half and put them under pressure to concede a short corner which gave them the equalizing goal. the second half saw some great defending by kidder to keep pershore at bay and earn themselves a short corner, which allowed Kari Smith to take her second goal of the match. Unfortunately for kidderminster Pershore were not finished and managed to smuggle a goal over Kidders goal line to steal a point in this end to end game. at home next week to Droitwich ( kidderminster are 3rd from bottom and need the points to avoid being relegated this season )

kidderminster 0 Bournville 5
This was the last game before christmas and there was no early christmas present for kidderminster as they struggled to find the back of Bournvilles goal mouth, on the other hand Bournville were gifted a goal in the first half against the run of play to go into the lead at half time. Bournvile caught Kidder napping to score the second goal 30 seconds into the second half. This was not going to be kidderminsters day as they attacked Bournvilles defence they lost posession and Bournville scored a third goal. Kidderminster had no answer and the game finished with a 5 nil defeat. Captain Amy grove was voted player of the match by both teams for her hard work in defence and keeping kidderminster fighting till the end. next game in the new year.             Merry Christmas everyone x

28th nov    Harborne 9 kidderminster 0

Kidderminsters misery continues this season as they faced a strong Harborne side and were quickly on the back foot defending goal. Harbourne scored 3 goals from open play and 2 from short corners in the first half . Despite Kidderminster having some new players in midfield to strengthen the team and working hard to get possession back the second half saw Harborne score 4 more goals. the final score didn't reflect the game as Kidderminster had chances but were unable to capitalise on them and the performance was much improved on last week . Racheal Wills was player of the match who worked hard in defence for Kidderminster. friendly game at home next week against Droitwich. pic Captain Amy Grove in black with number 10 on her back , Defender Racheal Wills with the ball , Sweeper Amanda Williams on the right and Defender Kath Thomas on the left ,Harbourne in green.

21st nov    Bromsgrove 7 Kidderminster 0

Kidderminster started the game well but were quickly over come by a strong Bromsgrove side and were pushed back into their own half. Due to injuries Kidderminster were lacking strength in midfield and unable to put any pressure on the home team. Bromsgrove scored 4 goals in the first half and despite a good team talk at half time were only able to hold Bromsgrove of for 14 minutes before they started attacking kidders defence to score 3 more goals to silence the visitors. Goal keeper Julie Rowe was voted player of the match by both sides for some great saves and determination. away to Harborne next week picture keeper Julie rowe surrounded by 3 Bromsgrove players

Kidderminster 2 Sills 5

the weather was not the only thing causing a storm as Sills bombarded kidders defence with attacks on goal.Kidderminster were left to pay for their sloppy passing when Sills went 3 goals up in the first half. the second half seemed to be better for kidderminster when Kay Mcdonald scored Kidders first goal and Hannah Boyce scored the second but Kidderminster were left with nothing to celebrate when Sills hit back with another 2 goals.left mid Kari Smith was voted player of the match for her hard efforts. away next week to old halesonians

Stourport 3 Kidderminster 1

kidderminster are struggling to put out a full team this season and could only muster 9 against Stourport for the first half. Stourport kept Kidder pinned in there own half for much of the first 40 minutes and were frustrated at not being able to penetrate the away teams goal. Defender Lisa Hillier (player of the match ) and a strong defensive line up by Kidderminster were to blame for Stourport not scoring until 3 minutes before half time from a short corner. the second half saw kay Mcdonald come on for Kidderminster and take them up to 10 players and score the only goal for kidderminster. Stourport were awarded a penalty flick when a ball was deemed to have come off a defender on its way into goal giving Stourport their second goal. the final goal came again from a short corner in the dying moments of the game. at home to Old sills next week 11.30 start

17th october 2009Tenbury 0 Kidderminster 4

Kidderminster travelled to Leominster with 10 players to face tenbury. Kidderminster used there experience and passed the ball well letting Tenbury do all the chasing. the first goal came within 10 mins when Rachael Wills did a reverse stick flick from the top of the dee. Tenbury were very quick on the counter attack and sweeper Amanda Williams needed to use her strength to hold them back and stop them equalising. the second goal came from defender Kath Thomas who for the second week running was player of the match for her outstanding commitment to the game. the second half saw Tenbury trying to get back into the game but unsuccessful in scoring as Kidderminster defended their lead. Sue Howard made Kidderminster's 3rd goal when she poked home a cheeky goal between the keepers legs. Kidderminster kept the pressure on to earn a short corner, which was smashed into the left hand corner by Rachael Wills giving kidder a good away win. no game next week away to Stourport on the 31st.

10/10/09Droitwich 2 Kidderminster 0

Kidderminster seemed to have the majority of the possession in the first half with several chances of scoring. However Droitwich took advantage and scored from a short corner to take them into the lead. Kidderminster fought back and were frustrated by the Droitwich goal keeper who made several saves as Kidderminster put the pressure on. Droitwich's second goal came in the last minute of the second half to seal Kidderminsters fate. Kidderminster have 2 new members of the team. the player of the match was defender Kath Thomas who played forward as well as defence.
